What it’s about. Russland im Jahr 1400: Als der Mönch und Maler Andrej Rubljow mit zwei Gefährten in einer armseligen Schenke vor einem Gewitter Zuflucht sucht, erlebt er betroffen, wie ein kleiner Gaukler festgenommen wird.
