What it’s about. Als er versucht jemanden auszurauben, begeht Manuel Jordan einen riesigen Fehler. Da die Dinge nicht nach Plan verlaufen, tötet er aus der Situation heraus einen jungen Mann. Er wird geschnappt und verbüßt seitdem eine lebenslange Haftstrafe. Der schiefgegangene Überfall ereignete sich vor 22 Jahren und nun bekommt Manuel eine neue Chance und darf das Gefängnis auf Bewährung verlassen. Doch er hat nur einen Gedanken - er will um Vergebung bitten, für die Tat, die er begangen hat. Deswegen kehrt er in die Stadt des Geschehens zurück. Er landet bei Pastor Miles Evans und leistet somit Hilfe im Gemeinde Zentrum. Er ist beliebt und findet neue Freunde. So auch Sofia nd Adele, der Schwester seines Opfers. Als Adeles Sohn dann droht in die Kriminalität abzurutschen, bekommt Manuel die Chance auf Wiedergutmachung...
