What it’s about. Die amerikanische Regisseurin Kelly Reichhart nimmt sich der Generation 30plus an und zeigt zwei langjährige Freunde, Mark und Kurt, auf einem Wochenendausflug in den Bergen. Sie versichern sich ihrer Freundschaft, sind aber in Wahrheit keine Freunde mehr. Zunächst verfahren sie sich völlig auf einsamen Waldwegen, und man glaubt schon, daß sie nie am Ziel ihrer Reise – einer heißen Quelle – ankommen. Der eine redet wenig, während der andere zum Beispiel seine Theorie, daß das Universum einem fallenden Tropfen gleicht, ausführlich erklärt. Am Ende scheint alles beim alten zu bleiben, doch kleine Zeichen deuten auf die Möglichkeit von Veränderung hin.
