What it’s about. Taylor Ogburn ist 18 Jahre alt und hat manchmal Anfälle, in denen sein Herz zu schnell schlägt. Obwohl er noch nie Alkohol getrunken hat, beginnt er eines Sommers die Treffen der anonymen Alkoholiker zu besuchen. Der Grund dafür: Taylor hat sich am Strand in die Ex-Prostituierte Krystal verliebt und sie zu den AA’s verfolgt. Als sie kein Interesse zu dem wesentlich jüngeren Mann zeigt, streift er seine brave Natur ab und gibt sich als wilder Rocker aus. Tatsächlich kommt es so doch noch zu einer Annäherung zwischen Taylor und Krystal. Und der schwer verliebte Jugendliche will auch dann nicht von seinen Gefühlen lassen, als sich seine Familie gegen Krystal stellt.
