What it’s about. Als der Sohn des äußerst wohlhabenden Geschäftsmannes Vincent Delacruz umgebracht wird, schmiedet dieser einen ungewöhnlichen Racheplan: Er engagiert Jaxon Stone, einen erfolgreichen Strafverteidiger, der als Anwalt des Mörders von Delacruz' Sohn fungieren und für diesen einen Freispruch erwirken soll, damit Delacruz seine Rache am Mörder vollziehen kann. Die schlaue Staatsanwältin Lisa Thomas will einen Freispruch des Täters jedoch verhindern und erweist sich damit als Hindernis in Delacruz' Plan. Auf Druck von Delacruz und trotz einer Warnung des Ex-Militärs Jake Tharseo, lässt Stone jedoch nicht von dem Fall ab und dringt ebenso wie Lisa immer tiefer in die Strukturen eines professionellen Menschenhandel-Rings ein, der vom skrupellosen Tattoo geführt wird.
