What it’s about. Seit er aus dem Kriegsdienst ausgeschieden ist, hat ein ehemaliger Elite-Soldat Schwierigkeiten, sich mit „herkömmlichen“ Jobs über Wasser zu halten. Aus Mangel an Alternativen tritt er eines Tages eine Stelle als Sicherheitsmann in einem heruntergekommenen Einkaufszentrum in einer ebenso schäbigen Gegend an. Doch schon die erste Nacht im neuen Beruf erfordert von ihm eine Rückbesinnung auf seine alten Fähigkeiten. So öffnet er die Tore für eine verzweifelte junge Frau, auf die ein skrupelloser Gangsterboss Jagd macht, da sie als Kronzeugin in einem großen Fall gegen ihn aussagen soll. Zwar ist sie bei einem Überfall auf den Polizeikonvoi, der ihr sicheres Geleit gewähren sollte, nochmal knapp mit dem Leben davongekommen, doch dauert es nicht lang, bis die Verfolger ebenfalls bei der Mall auftauchen. Allerdings haben sie die Rechnung dabei ohne den wehrhaften neuen Sicherheitsmann gemacht …
