What it’s about. Polizist Karas soll im Paris des Jahres 2054 die vermisste Forscherin Ilona aufstöbern, die für den mächtigen Konzern Avalon tätig war. Hilfe bekommt er von Bislane, der Schwester der Vermissten. Die weiß, dass Ilona eine zwielichtige Person beauftragt hat irgendwelche Dokumente zu stehlen. Karas vermutet, dass die Wissenschaftlerin während ihrer Arbeit bei Avalon auf etwas gestoßen sein muss, auf ein Geheimnis, das irgendwer auf Teufel komm raus zu verstecken versucht. Denn nach und nach sterben Karas die Zeugen weg. Seine Ermittlungen deuten darauf hin, dass Ilonas Verschwinden irgendetwas mit einem Forschungsprojekt zu tun hat, das bis ins Jahr 2006 zurückreicht...

How it landed. With an audience score of 6.5/10, Renaissance has drawn a solid, mixed-to-positive response. It went on to earn $1.8M at the box office.
