Released in 2023, Kill Boksoon is an action, thriller and abenteuer film directed by Byun Sung-hyun, running about 137 minutes. “A life of lies can kill.” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. Kill Bok-Soon (Jeon Do-Yeon) führt ein Doppelleben. Auf der einen Seite ist sie eine warmherzige, alleinerziehende Mutter, auf der anderen Seite eine Auftragsmörderin mit einer Erfolgsquote von 100 Prozent. Sie arbeitet für das M.K. Ent, das von Cha Min-Kyu (Sol Kyung-Gu) geleitet wird. Er hat sie als Killerin ausgebildet und sie vertrauen einander blind. Gleichzeitig ist sich Kill Bok-Soon bewusst, dass Cha Min-Kyu eine gefährliche Person ist, die ihr alles nehmen kann. Cha Min-Hee (Esom) ist die jüngere Schwester von Cha Min-Kyu und sie arbeitet als Führungskraft bei M.K. Ent. Sie zeigt anderen nie ihre Gefühle. Und dann ist da noch Han Hee-Sung (Koo Gyo-Hwan) der dort ebenfalls als Auftragsmörder arbeitet. Er ist zwar hoch qualifiziert in seinem Job, aber er wird von anderen nicht für seine Arbeit anerkannt. Kurz bevor Kill Bok-Soon ihren Vertrag verlängern soll, wird sie in eine Konfrontation verwickelt, bei der feststeht: Töte oder du wirst getötet.

Who’s in it. Kill Boksoon stars Jeon Do-yeon as Gil Bok-soon, Sol Kyung-gu as Cha Min-kyu, Koo Kyo-hwan as Han Hee-sung and Esom as Cha Min-hee, among others.

How it landed. With an audience score of 6.8/10, Kill Boksoon has drawn a solid, mixed-to-positive response.
