What it’s about. Ein simpler Spurwechsel führt zu einem Autounfall. Der arrogante Wall-Street-Anwalt Gavin Banek ist gerade auf dem Weg ins Gericht, um mithilfe wichtiger Unterlagen eine millionenschwere Wohltätigkeitsorganisation unter Druck zu setzen. Dumm, dass er diese Unterlagen aus Versehen dem Versicherungsangestellten Doyle Gipson gibt und ihn allein an der Unfallstelle stehen lässt. Der ist ebenfalls auf dem Weg zum Gericht, um für das Sorgerecht für seine Söhne zu kämpfen. Durch den Unfall versäumt er den wichtigen Termin. Schließlich entbrennt zwischen den beiden grundverschiedenen Männern ein erbitterter Kleinkrieg, der vor allem von Banek mit allen technischen Tricks geführt wird. Er möchte Gipson lieber fertigmachen, statt mit ihm zu reden. Aber Banek hat Gipson unterschätzt, der sich nicht so einfach geschlagen gibt.

How it landed. With an audience score of 6.2/10, Spurwechsel has drawn a solid, mixed-to-positive response. It went on to earn $94.9M at the box office.
