Luc Besson est un réalisateur, producteur et scénariste français né le 18 mars 1959 à Paris. Il est notamment connu pour la réalisation des films _Le grand bleu_, _Léon_, _Le cinquième élément_ et plus récemment _Lucy_. En tant que producteur il est connu pour les séries de films _Taxi_, _Taken_ ou encore _Le transporteur_. En 1992, Luc Besson fonde avec Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, la société Leeloo Productions qui deviendra en 2000 EuropaCorp. Entre temps, en 1998, Luc reçoit le césar du meilleur réalisateur pour _Le cinquième élément_. Plus tard, en 2012, il fonde la Cité du cinéma à Saint-Denis.
