Michel Amathieu est un directeur de la photographie français né le 28 novembre 1955 à Crèvecœur-en-Auge, ayant notamment travaillé avec Emir Kusturica. Michel Amathieu étudie d'abord les mathématiques, obtenant une maîtrise dans ce domaine. Il pratique la photographie occasionnellement.
